Dr. Chris Olson

Dr. Chris Olson is a true Wisconsinite, born and raised in Madison, WI. Growing up surrounded by dogs and puppies, she spent many afternoons at the nearby zoo, observing animals and visiting the petting farm. A trip to Florida at age eight, where she held a python at Busch Gardens, ignited her passion for veterinary medicine.

Dr. Chris attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a degree in Genetics before completing her Veterinary degree at UW Veterinary School in 1994. While working in a laboratory researching viruses during her studies, she discovered that her true calling was not in research but in clinical practice.

With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Chris has worked in both small animal general practice and emergency medicine. She recently obtained her certification in Acupuncture from Chi University and has been integrating this into her practice for the past five years. Dr. Chris is dedicated to preventative medicine, dermatology, internal medicine, and pain management for older animals.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Chris enjoys walking in nature, biking, swimming, and running, participating in triathlons, including the Madison Ironman. She also loves traveling and recently visited Seattle to see her daughter. At home, she and her husband share their lives with a beloved dog, with plans to expand their pet family soon.
