Stacy, Receptionist
Stacy grew up in Madison,WI where she always had pets including dogs, cats, and small animals, and acquired her love for horses. This eventually led her to rescue and train her own horses. She was active in FFA through school, and volunteered for horse camps. She graduated from Westfield High School where she took small animal and equine science courses hoping to someday work with animals. Her hobbies include horseback riding, volleyball, softball, and playing with her animals. Stacy's duties at Pineview include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting the veterinarians. Stacy has two dogs, a golden retriever named Reggie aka Roo, a brittany spaniel named Brett, and a cat named Alvin. |

Veterinary Technicians/Assistants:

Angie, Veterinary Technician
Angie has an associate degree in veterinary technology from Madison Area Technical College. Angie began working at Pineview in 2000, having acquired experience working previously at veterinary clinics elsewhere. She keeps current with her profession through the Wisconsin Veterinary Technician Association, conferences, and newsletters. Angie assists the doctors with blood work-ups and prepping animals for surgery. She monitors the animals during surgery and continues to observe them throughout the day. Angie helps with radiology, dental procedures, and aids the doctors in the exam rooms. She says her intention is to make the animals as comfortable as possible and relieve their fears. “When an animal puts its trust in you, it’s the greatest feeling,” she says. Angie has a cat, Mooshu. |

Abrah, Veterinary Technician
Abrah has an associate degree in veterinary technology from Madison Area Technical College. She came to Pineview with experience working at a veterinary clinic and an animal center. Abrah assists the doctors during surgery, monitoring heartbeat and respiration, and assists in radiology. She is responsible for blood profiles before anesthesia, she prepares urine and stool samples, and performs dental prophylaxis on dogs and cats. To stay current with her profession she attends the annual conference of the Wisconsin Veterinary Technician Association. “I love my job”, Abrah says. She believes she makes a difference in the animals’ lives. “You feel better when the sick or injured leave, and you know you have made them feel better.” Abrah has four dogs: a boxer, Teegan; a rottweiler, Keena; a pug, Max, and a cat named Sly. |

Katie, Veterinary Assistant
Katie has many responsibilities at the clinic including lab work, assisting with x-rays, and preparing animals for surgery. After starting as a kennel assistant, Katie advanced to veterinary assistant, the position she has held at Pineview for the past six years. Katie graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1998. She went to UW-Madison, where she earned a B.S. in zoology. Katie has three dogs, Libby, Jasmine, and Britney, and three cats, Sally, White Kitty, and Mini Me. She is motivated every day to make a difference in the lives of all the pets and owners that come through the door. |
